£30-£60 per hour

Proofreading and editing services:

£20-£40 per hour.

 
It is usual to use a sample of the material you need editing in order to work out a charge that takes complexity, specialism and the level of edit required into account. Quick turnarounds and requirement to work evenings and weekends will also be factored in.

These charges are based on the minimum rates recommended by the National Union of Journalists and the  Society for Editors and Proofreaders.

Other expenses (postage, travel costs) will be charged separately unless agreed as part of the fee. I am based in North Yorkshire.
